Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, cert U

After all the hype there was only one thing to do about this movie, see it on the opening day, (thats the preview day) with 10 of your friends and then feel disappionted, not a terrible film at all but not a great film, plenty of exciting scenes especially at the end, loadsa special effects, but too many boring parts. Best part? The podrace which is also a great N64 game, really exciting. Worst part? The film being a prequel is too predictable: Anakin has to win the podrace, Obi Wan Kenobi has to win the fight (as he doesn't die till the original Star Wars) etc etc... Darth Maul though what a makeup job eh?

I'm not going to write a huge review about this cos I can't be arsed reviewing this when there is a better film to review, namely South Park.

I give it: 7/10
